This is official description
CleanUp! is a powerful and easy-to-use application that removes temporary files created while surfing the web, empties the Recycle Bin, deletes files from your temporary folders and more. CleanUp! frees disk space and reduces the "clutter" on your computer helping it to run more efficiently. It also can be used as a way to protect your privacy on the Internet. You can even instruct CleanUp! to securely delete files making it impossible to retrieve their contents using lower-level disk tools - just another way of protecting your privacy.
The following review written by one of the Software Informer contributors applies to version 4.0
CleanUp! is a program to delete traces of you Internet activity stored on your hard disk.
This is accomplished by deleting entries in your browser cache, browser history, bookmarks, favorites and cookies, your recently visited sites, your recent documents folder, entries in the Run dialog, emptying the Recicle Bin and the temporary folders, entries in your system's registry and even resetting the high scores in Windows games.
CleanUp! runs on Windows 95, 98, ME, NT 4.0, 2000 and XP.
You can choose between four ways to clean up your system: Custom, Basic, Standard or Thorough. You can tailor the Custom mode to your needs, the other three have predefined options. You will have to choose what to delete and what to keep.
If you press the CleanUp! button the program will perform the required tasks, as you hear a WC flushing (you can deactivate that).
After completion, the program will show you a detailed report on the taken actions. Then it will sometimes tell you to restart Windows to complete the cleanup.
It's fast, free and helps you to clean up your system.

What's new in version 4.5
New features and improvements made for version 4.5: - Modified the interpretation of temporary file specifications given in the Temporary Files tab of the Options dialog so as to be more intuitive. Previously, the Windows API used would match *.tmp with files ending with .tmpl (I think this was because of the underlying "DOS format" filename that ended with .tmp). [Thanks to cvydas for assistance diagnosing and testing this.] - Added support for IncrediMail by emptying all Runtime folders. - Initial support for Paint Shop Pro 7, 8 and 9. - Initial support for Real Player. - Initial support for QuickTime media player. -Initial support for International versions of Windows - specifically to remove dependence on Application Data in certain paths.
Steven is the man! This program is simple to use and it really cleans things that don't normally get cleaned with regular stuff that comes included in the Windows API. I have used it for years. I personally have donated about $75 to Steven for his contribution. It has simple settings to let you choose what you want to clean. I am sure there are more sophisticated cleaning software, but this one does the trick.
